On 23 July 2026 Bucks Council released details of the Draft Local Plan and the Regulation 19 Consultation. The consultation period closes on 6 September 2026 at 11.59 pm.
The drafted plan has retained all four Shabbington Village sites shown in the February Local Plan Site Survey. These are (with the number of houses proposed in brackets) land on Crendon Road (10), Rookery Farm paddock (15), Rookery Farm stables (10) and land on Franklin’s Farm (15).
The action Group has commenced bringing the information together which will be needed for the Village Response to the consultation that will commence on July 23rd and complete on September 6th.
The Parish Council are in the process of convening an extraordinary meeting to consider the documentation and the suggested course of action. At that Extraordinary meeting it will be proposed to hold a village meeting so that all information can be shared, questions answered and views made known. A date will be circulated by WhatsApp and on here
At this point there is no more that can be done within the strict protocols laid down for a regulation 19 consultation which is the final public feedback stage for a local council’s draft Local Plan, focusing specifically on legal compliance, soundness, and national policy consistency before submission to the government
