Footpath SHB/7/1 Re-Opened

Footpath 7 (officially SHB/7/1) has been, for a long time, very uneven, narrow and overgrown.  In winter it was almost impassable.  It runs between Crendon Road/The Vines and Ickford Road.  It should be a pleasant alternative to the conventional road route.

In January 2025 the PC agreed a plan with the Buckinghamshire Rights of Way Officer to make improvements to the path.  The PC had hoped that the work would have been done earlier but delays have been caused by funding and contractor availability.

Bucks Council have, however, stayed with their commitment and they have recently completed the work which has transformed the path into an all weather walk way. It looks a little stark at the moment but Mother Nature will soon soften it and it will return to being a lovely short country path but now accessible for more.
